Mother's best friend

Five years ago, my best friend Hitomi, who worked as a nurse at the same hospital as my mother, came to visit me. In truth, they would have wanted to have a story of both women and folk tales, but my mother suddenly left the house on a night shift, and we ended up spending the night alone, me and Hitomi.
