Wandering unfamiliar streets and walking home to a station she doesn't know — days out with her kind husband were Chisa's one luxury. On one of those days off she found a small café, and the man running it turned out to be Someshima, a friend of her husband's. Someshima is coarse in a way that's the exact opposite of her husband, and, oddly, she finds herself drawn to it. When Chisa comes back to the café to ask about working there, Someshima pulls her in hard, as if he'd known all along she'd return.
