After several years of marriage, Kasumi and her husband are preparing to buy a home. At her husband's suggestion, they temporarily move in with his father Shozo. Since losing his wife several years earlier, Shozo has become a shadow of the proud man he once was, leaving Kasumi deeply worried. Nothing she does seems to lift his spirits, so she finally steps into the role of a wife and sleeps with her father-in-law, hoping to make him feel young again.
