“Kenichi, please—could you abstain for the month before our trip?” Kenichi is bewildered by his father-in-law's sudden request. What was supposed to be a private family hot-spring getaway comes with an unexpected mission: use the trip to conceive a child with his wife. But she has no interest in trying for a baby, rejects every advance and eventually passes out drunk.
