Yuzuru, the middle of three adult brothers, had always seemed like the child who required the least attention from his mother, Yuka. One spring, his older brother moves out for work, his younger brother enters a residential school, and their father takes a job away from home. Yuzuru and Yuka are suddenly left alone together. The once-lively house falls silent, and Yuka struggles with the emptiness. Seeing her this way fills Yuzuru with frustration, and he tries to reclaim the maternal love he was never able to have all to himself.
